WATAR'S SUCESS STORY

Founded in 2002 by Fadi Nahas, Watar Choir started as a small group of music enthusiasts dedicated to serving the church. It has since grown into one of Lebanon’s leading choirs, with over 60 members performing at major religious events and public festivals.

The group expanded over the years with the creation of Watar Kids Choir in 2017 and Watar Youth Choir in 2020, followed by Watar Band in 2019, which performs at weddings and various private and public events.

In 2023, Watar Academy was launched to provide structured music education, including vocal and instrumental training. Today, Watar has developed into a community of over 500 members, including students, performers, and instructors.

Watar continues to grow as a musical and educational institution, dedicated to nurturing talent and promoting music across generations.

FADI NAHAS

WATAR PRESIDENT

Fadi Nahas is the esteemed founder of Watar Choir, established in 2002, and has since been a driving force in the development of several key musical initiatives. In 2017, he expanded his vision by founding Watar Kids Choir, followed by the creation of Watar Youth Choir in 2020. In 2019, he also founded Watar Band, a dynamic musical ensemble. Most recently, in 2023, he launched Watar Academy, a leading institution dedicated to music education. Through his unwavering dedication and passion for music, Fadi Nahas has significantly contributed to the growth of musical culture and education, inspiring countless students and musicians across various generations.

Frederic Bakhach joined Watar in 2020 and, in 2022, took on the role of Vice President for the Watar Community. As a key member of the team, he is responsible for overseeing management and development within Watar. Played an instrumental role in the founding of Watar Academy in 2023, contributing his expertise to the institution's growth and success.

Elias is a passionate musician specializing in Oriental singing and Oud, currently pursuing his studies at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music. In 2023, he joined Watar Academy as an Oriental singing instructor, where he continues to inspire and mentor young talents. His artistic journey began with the Watar Choir in 2013, where his deep commitment and creative spirit have made him an essential contributor to the ensemble’s evolving musical identity.

Catherine Paul Nasrallah Studied 6 years at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory, attended Watar Senior Choir in 2018 and took charge of watar kids and youth choirs in 2022. Joined Watar Academy in 2023 as a violin and solfeggio instructor.
